Q) Why doesn't my download work?!
A) There are 5 main reasons why a download may not have worked:
| |
Cookies - If you have disabled cookies in your browser, you
will not be able to login to begin a download! You will get stuck in an
endless loop of login requests. Enable cookies in your browser to fix this
problem.
Download Managers - Many download managers such as GetRight and DAP
can cause problems. If you use a download manager and are having problems
with your download, try disabling it and reattempting the download.
Firewalls - Firewalls can block access to the ports needed to download
the file you want. Opening port 21 on your personal computer will often
solve this problem. If you are not on your own personal computer, contact
a system administrator for help.
Broken Links - Sometimes the file you try to download does not exist
anymore. If this is the case, you may get an error message of sorts. Some
broken links will give you a blank white page underneath the ProgramFiles
header bar. Please report broken links so that they can be fixed or removed.
Popup Stoppers - Very occassionally, files will be downloaded in
a new window. If you are running a popup stopper and are having difficulties
downloading files, try disabling it and trying again. |

have a crippled critical function or restricted time frame in which to evaluate
the software. |
